Colin Cameron Allrich aka Consoul/Slighter/The Pushers/Deeptone. With so many aliases one might think he has multiple personalities. However this is not the case, each entity titled to him embraces it’s own genre direction. Given this, you will quickly understand there is diversity in his work and persona.

Colin is a rising star from the Los Angeles electronic scene. He rooted his early years as an integral member of DMC records (Melrose), one of L.A.s longest running dance record stores. His vast knowledge of the progressive scene flourished here and he began unleashing a mixture of breaks, hard-edged progressive, and spaced out grooves. These sounds could be heard everywhere from The Grand Avenue Ballroom & The Knitting Factory to The Highlands, and exclusive nights at the Henry Fonda Music Box. He also held a weekly residency at the Larchmont where he played along side some of LAs finest including Doran, Nicolas Bennison, Kris B, and recently he could be heard at the infamous Giant, with Paul Oakenfold.

Not to be contained to the clubs, his DJ mixes have received international recognition via the internet station XTC Radio where he hosted a monthly spot along side his good friend Dekado. He has also been a repeat performer for the acclaimed internet channels: Proton Radio, Frisky radio, Scratch n’ Spin; as well as the popular satellite station, XM radio’s “The Move”.

As if the above is not enough, it is in his production where his true talents shine. Don’t let his age fool you either, as he has been writing music for various solo and collaborative projects for ten years and counting. His industrial band, Bad Morning After, was where his interest in electronic instruments and synthesis was ignited. Since then, he has matured and elaborated on his skills, honing a collection of Progressive House/Breaks projects. His production quality and ear for sonic textures has also attracted collaborations by artists such as Languis/John Girgus, Manik, Lophase (collab with Erphun) and Jason Calvert. He has also recently taken a different direction by completing the score for the independent action thriller STEEL, a film by Greg Krupka.

Across the globe Colin has been gaining support with top notch DJs and producers ever since his thunderous break-beat remix of the classic Stage One by John “Quivver” Graham, was released on Lost Language (the sister label of the infamous Hooj Choons). Since then, his work as The Pushers has gained attention from Hernan Cattaneo, (who included a pushers mix on his ‘Sequential’ Renaissance mix), Anthony Pappa, Jody Wisternoff and Zimbardo (Piliavin & Zimbardo) amongst others. Not to mention his work making it on the top charts of the Balance Record Pool and the Release Record Pool. At 25, Colin is reaching deeper into his subconscious and hidden agendas to pull out the tricks of the trade that will revolutionize electronic music as we know it.
