Middlesbrough in the North East of England may not sound like the epicentre of the dance music universe, however in October 2003, with the inception of underground house club night *riffraff, Lee Pennington (Section 75) put his two feet firmly on the first rung of the DJing ladder. Launched initially as a one-off promotional event to help promote his debut release on Source of Gravity Recordings, it quickly developed into an event that would cater for those people who appreciate forward thinking and thoughtful house music.

Over the last few years Lee has fast become a respected DJ / producer of underground house music under his Section 75 and riffraff aliases. He now has tracks available on many independent labels that are supported by the likes of, Hernan Catteneo, Nick Warren, Steve Lawler, John Digweed, Scott Bradford, Paul Van Dyk and many more A list Djs. Lee's track "the PT project" reached No. 6 in the DJ Mag chart (Sept 07) as well as his Section 75 presents Lee Pennington EP sitting pretty in the Balance promo pool. With the imminent release of his remix of Perc's "ice-cream for Kenton" and his remix of "Bad Habits" feat. Dan Diamond getting rave reviews there is still much more to come from this maestro.
As well as his resident DJ duties at *riffraff, Lee has managed to get out and about across Europe playing his own brand of progressive / tech house to the masses. As well as completing a tour of the USA where he played nine gigs in twelve days. He has played with DJ's like Clive Henry (DC10), Matt Tolfrey, Rockey (xpress2), Jody Wisternoff plus so many more and now hosts his own show on Proton radio alongside US based Source Of Gravity boy Tim Mills.
Next year see's Lee taking *riffraff to the world famous Back2Basics club night in Leeds as well as the world famous Shindig club in Newcastle. Things are on the up.
As well as his resident duties at *riffraff, Lee has managed to get out and about across Europe playing his own brand of progressive house to the masses, as well as completing a tour of the USA where he played 9 gigs in twelve days.

He has been a busy man with radio broadcast appearances on Energy FM, Red & Blues Shake show, Digiprana Sounds, Downshift Radio, LRCN's shows The Bidness & Four4 (formerly 4x4 101) on DI.FM & AfterhoursDJs.org respectively, and now his own show hosted on Proton alongside Source Of gravity new boy Tim Mills

With DJ gigs coming thick and fast and many more European dates being filled in as we speak, the running of *riffraff, remix and production duties as well as an album in production we now look forward to more music from the man in 2008.
